Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and safety-focused Welder to join our construction team. The welder will be responsible for performing welding tasks on structural steel, pipelines, and metal fixtures at construction sites. The ideal candidate should be experienced with various welding techniques and be able to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications
- Perform welding operations using MIG, TIG, ARC, or gas welding techniques
- Join, fabricate, and repair metal components used in buildings and infrastructure
- Set up and operate welding equipment safely and efficiently
- Inspect welded surfaces and structures to ensure quality and structural integrity
- Perform grinding, cutting, and finishing as required
- Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean work area
- Adhere to all site safety protocols and wear proper PPE at all times
- Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and other construction workers

Qualification

- Certification from a welding school or technical training institute
- Valid welding license or AWS/ASME certification (if applicable)
- Experience with structural steel and heavy fabrication
- Familiarity with plasma cutting and flame cutting tools

Skill & Experience

- Proven experience as a welder in a construction environment (minimum 2 years)
- Proficiency in various welding techniques (MIG, TIG, SMAW, etc.)
- Ability to read technical drawings and welding symbols
- Strong attention to detail and quality standards
- Physically fit and able to work in various positions and weather conditions
- Knowledge of safety standards and procedures
