Job Description
A Marine Carpenter is responsible for constructing, repairing, and installing wooden structures and fittings on boats, ships, and other marine vessels. The role involves interpreting technical drawings, cutting and shaping wood and composite materials, assembling furniture and interior fittings, ensuring structural integrity and water resistance, and working closely with shipbuilding teams to meet safety and quality standards in marine environments.
Responsibilities
Carpentry & Construction:

Build and repair wooden structures on ships using marine-grade materials.

Install cabinetry, decking, partitions, and trim.
Repair & Maintenance:

Identify and repair damaged woodwork.

Apply marine-grade finishes.
Precision Work:

Read technical drawings.

Measure, cut, and shape materials to precise tolerances.
Safety & Compliance:

Follow shipyard HSE regulations.

Ensure compliance with marine construction standards.
Qualification
High School Diploma or Equivalent.
Skill & Experience
Skilled in carpentry tools and marine construction, ability to read blueprints, attention to detail.
