Job Description
A Furniture Installer – Ship Interior is responsible for assembling, fitting, and securing furniture and interior components aboard ships and marine vessels. The role includes reading layout plans and technical drawings, handling tools and materials to install cabinets, seating, partitions, and fixtures, ensuring proper alignment and finish, adhering to marine safety and quality standards, and coordinating with interior designers, engineers, and other trades to ensure timely and accurate installation.
Responsibilities
Installation Tasks:

Install built-in marine furniture in cabins and common areas.

Secure furniture components using appropriate techniques.
Technical & Finishing Work:

Align and level furniture, apply sealants and finishes.

Coordinate with other trades.
Quality Assurance:

Follow installation checklists and ensure compliance.

Perform adjustments as needed.
Tools & Materials Handling:

Use hand and power tools properly.

Handle materials with care.
Safety & Compliance:

Follow all shipyard safety rules.

Work safely in confined spaces or at heights.
Qualification
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Skill & Experience
Ability to read layout drawings, use of measurement tools, attention to detail, teamwork.
