The role involves interpreting technical drawings, cutting and shaping metal plates, tack welding and fitting sections, ensuring dimensional accuracy and structural integrity, and working closely with welders and shipbuilding teams to meet safety and quality standards in a marine construction environment.
Responsibilities
Fitting & Assembly:

Interpret structural and welding drawings.

Fit and align hull components such as plates and frames.
Structural Fabrication:

Assemble ship sections and machinery foundations.

Shape curved or angled plates.
Quality & Accuracy:

Verify measurements and fit-up tolerances.

Perform reworks when needed.
Safety & Maintenance:

Adhere to safety protocols.

Maintain clean work areas.
Qualification
High school diploma; technical training preferred.
Skill & Experience
