Job Description

The Preform Machine Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining machinery used in the production of plastic or glass preforms used for creating bottles, jars, and other similar products. The operator is responsible for ensuring that the equipment is set up properly, monitoring the production process to ensure quality and efficiency, and performing routine maintenance tasks as needed.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate preform manufacturing equipment according to standard operating procedures
• Load raw materials into the machine and adjust settings to ensure proper production
• Monitor the manufacturing process to ensure that it is running smoothly and make adjustments as necessary
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning the machinery, replacing worn parts, and identifying and repairing mechanical problems
• Ensure that all equipment is operating safely and efficiently
• Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to minimize the risk of accidents or injuries
• Work with other members of the production team to ensure that production goals are met
• Record production data, such as the number of preforms produced and any issues encountered during the production process
• Communicate with supervisors and other team members to report any issues or problems that arise during production
• Follow all quality control procedures to ensure that preforms meet the required specifications.

Qualification

High School Diploma

Skill & Experience

• Previous experience operating and maintaining preform manufacturing equipment preferred
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
• Strong mechanical skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time and perform repetitive tasks.
