Job Description
A Pastry Chef is responsible for creating and overseeing the production of a variety of baked goods and desserts. They design and execute pastry menus, manage the pastry kitchen, and ensure the quality and presentation of all pastry items. Pastry Chefs collaborate with kitchen staff, order and manage inventory of ingredients, and maintain a clean and organized workspace. Creativity, precision, and a deep understanding of baking techniques are essential in this role, as is the ability to stay updated on industry trends and incorporate them into pastry offerings. Additionally, a Pastry Chef may train and supervise pastry kitchen staff to uphold high standards in production.
