Works as a technical specialist or in a leadership position. Uses advanced technical techniques and analysis to solve issues and develop processes with little supervision. Expands knowledge and skill set within the profession. May begin to broaden knowledge in other fields and/or functional domains.

Responsibilities

• Engineering Standards:

Continues to study, stays current, and uses independent knowledge and interpretation of departmental design guides, standards, systems, applicable engineering codes, and Black and Veatch policies and procedures in relation to assigned assignments.

• Quality / Continuous Improvement:

Consistently and independently applies knowledge and conforms with Black and Veatch's quality program applicable to given responsibilities.

May be accountable for ensuring compliance with the Black and Veatch quality program.

Provides advice and direction to others on the same project and discipline.

• Engineering Production:

Prepares a range of complicated engineering outputs. Conducts complicated research and makes suggestions for equipment and/or material choices. Performs sophisticated engineering computations using common techniques and concepts. Manages the allocated budget, timeline, and quality standards. Plans and implements independent assessment, selection, and adaption of engineering techniques, processes, and criteria. Review lower-level engineering work or assignments. Oversees the gathering, assimilation, and administration of data for engineering work; leads smaller production teams; and serves as the project's responsible charge.

Qualification

Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering from either a recognized accredited program in their home country or the country in which the professional is practicing. Minimum of 5 years related Work experience All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment on boarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.
