Job Description
We are looking for a skilled and dedicated Mineral Wool Insulator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining mineral wool insulation in various settings to ensure optimal thermal and acoustic performance. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and adherence to safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Measure and cut insulation materials to fit into walls, ceilings, and around pipes and ductwork.
- Install mineral wool insulation using adhesives, staples, or other mechanical fasteners.
- Ensure proper fitting and sealing of insulation materials to prevent gaps and thermal bridging.
- Apply vapor barriers or other protective coverings as needed.
- Remove old insulation and dispose of it safely and responsibly.
- Inspect insulation systems to identify and repair gaps, leaks, or damage.
- Collaborate with other construction professionals, including electricians, plumbers, and HVAC technicians, to ensure seamless integration of insulation.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations, wearing appropriate protective gear as required.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
Qualification
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in insulation or a related.
Skill & Experience
- Proven experience as an insulator, preferably with mineral wool insulation.
- Familiarity with different types of insulation materials and installation techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
- Strong physical stamina and the ability to work in confined spaces and at heights.
- Excellent attention to detail and precision in work.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to all relevant regulations and guidelines.
